We have had cold temperatures and snow off and on last week. With a 30% chance of snow today, then temperatures which are expected to drop into the single digits early next week, I totally understand why bears and other animals hibernate. From the time I got off work from my day job on Friday, I have been in my warm pajamas and wooly socks and fuzzy slippers ever since.
So, what have I done with this time? Yesterday, I made small witch cauldron flower arrangements and jars of stress relieving bath salts. Today, I think I will most likely work on a cross-stitch project while the light is good, then I'll be switching over to working on my next book. I just haven't decided which one it will be yet. Maybe, by the time the sun goes down, I'll know where to start. I guess this is what happens when you have a brain full of ideas waiting to come out onto paper.
One of the highlights of my weekend was that the seed catalogs have started to arrive! As usual, Annie's Heirloom Seeds does not disappoint. So eager to start the garden season, I ordered some seed starting trays from the TikTok shop. I've been researching no-till methods of gardening, and I think that is the route I will probably go this season. Hey, I have to do something with all the Amazon and Chewy boxes sitting in the laundry room right? Speaking of deliveries, the loud hound has made me (and probably the neighbors this whole mile road) that the Fed Ex guy is here. I can officially now say it's seed starting season because my Heirloom Seed Garden kit has arrived. Now to wait for the trays to get them going. This leads me to the Home Apothecary book I ordered. I will go through this book and make my next seed order.
I've also been reading and making use of the Audible subscription. On Audible, I'm listening to If She Only Knew by Lisa Jackson...that's my go to when I drive to and from work. It takes me a couple weeks to listen to entire book, but that's okay since I only get one credit a month unless I want to buy one. Last week, I finished up The Keeper of the Irish Secret by Susanne O'Leary and The Lullaby Sky by Carolyn Brown. Now, I'm reading The Witness by Sandra Brown.
If you are wondering where Yule is in the process, that gem is with my absolutely wonderful editor, J. J. Devine who is an amazing author herself. I am really hoping to be able to release sometime in the next week or so.
Another new feature I wanted to tell you all about is my monthly author spotlight. Check right here on my blog the 15th of every month to learn about a new author and their books. This is my way of giving back to the author community which has been so good to me.
Alas, it is time for me to move on to my other blog...The Green Witch Medium...and talk about the full moon coming tomorrow night.
Have a wonderful week all you lovely readers!!
