Three more sleeps in my own bed, then I'll be curled up in front of a peat fire in Miltown Malbay. I've been watching the weather over there closely, and hope that the deluge the coastal towns got overnight will be long past. My suitcase is packed with the exception of my pair of Wellies and my toiletries. I've bought a new Carhartt coat, stocking cap, and wooly mittens, there are several flannels and tee shirts to layer. The fleece lined jeans I ordered from Amazon don't fit, so I need to send them back. Hopefully, my regular jeans will be sufficient for our activities.
We have a jaunting car reservation for Saturday at Killarney where we will also take a trip around the Ring of Kerry. Monday night we have tickets to a comedy show at the Craic Den which is near the Temple Bar Pub. That will be our last night there, so we will drive to the hotel and park, take a few minutes to settle into our rooms, then grab an Uber and head down to the Temple Bar area for sightseeing, dinner and the show. Which reminds me, I need to pack a nice outfit for that evening. Perhaps my new emerald green velvet shirt with the lace collar.
I am going to try to get a lot of writing done the rest of the afternoon. The goal is to have Yule completed by...Yule! I am pretty sure I can get it completed because I'm coming along at a pretty good clip. The plan is to post an excerpt or two in one of my upcoming blog posts. So...stay tuned!
Today, other than writing, I'm dehydrating orange slices for Yule garland. which I will weave into some greenery along with cinnamon sticks. I need to order some star anise to make some miniature wreaths to hang on the tree in my bedroom. I may even put some of the dehydrated orange slices on the tree too. The good thing about making ornaments out of natural items is that after the holidays, I can hang them outside for the birds.
I am not going to make any promises, but I will try to drop a post next Sunday. If I can't, I'll definitely do one when I get home from Ireland. There will also be pictures on my Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/TeresaAKeefer for sure!
Okay, I have so much to do, so I'm going to wrap this up. But...before I go...I have a Black Friday special...all my magick holiday romances are going to be FREE...yep...you read that right! Have a happy Thanksgiving and a peaceful Black Friday!
